This project converted an aging oil heating system into a modern fully electric heat pump system. The homeowner wanted to eliminate oil fuel while improving comfort and efficiency. Our team installed a Tosot inverter heat pump with a new attic-mounted air handler and custom duct connections, allowing the home to operate with efficient electric heating and cooling.
Attic Air Handler Installation
The new air handler was custom-mounted in the attic space, replacing the old oil furnace and maximizing living space below.
Ductwork Integration
New and existing insulated ducts were connected to the air handler to ensure balanced airflow and efficient system operation.
Elevated Outdoor Condenser
The Tosot unit is mounted on an elevated stand to protect it from snow buildup and ensure reliable defrosting during Ottawa winters.
Ecobee Smart Control
An Ecobee smart thermostat was installed to provide precise temperature control and remote system monitoring.
